The Group Leader formerly lectured in classical languages and literature at Trinity College, Oxford. Greek Art has been a strong interest of his ever since he elected to do it as a special subject for his own undergraduate degree.

The group meets on the last Monday of each month at the leader’s home, 3.30–5pm.

The group will look at different aspects of the Greco-Roman world - social, historical, artistic, philosophical - through recorded TV documentaries as presented by experts.

The group discusses these, and together attempt to answer any questions raised. No preparation is required in advance.

Dates of meetings are flexible, as holidays sometimes intervene. The group is full at present, as seating space is limited, but a reserve/waiting list may be available. Meetings end at 5pm.
