QUIZ GROUP

The “Quiz Group” has been very busy over the last few weeks. Coming third twice in the Mill Street Club contest and 6th in the Devon u3a Championship at Bettaford. This being partly due to the fact that one player failed to turn up due to health problems. We did however find victory at the Malborough Village Hall quiz for church funds, the team each receiving a bottle of wine in addition to four raffle prizes!

We ventured into unknown territory visiting the Old Inn at Malborough for the Clanger's Quiz which was to raise money for the church bell ringers. As soon as the quiz began we knew we were in for a hard time as it was our least favorite subject, music, far too extensive range to have a comprehensive knowledge and one where age does play an important part. The team however enjoyed a very pleasant supper and managed to scoop up several raffle prizes yet again.

All members have now merged to work excellently with each other and enjoy the quizzing game. We are always looking for new members to extend our combined skill set so if you enjoy a challenge, please get in touch.

Please don’t be shy if you wish to join us. We do not concentrate on winning. If we do, then that is an added bonus. We have loads of laughter and a true team spirit. We are always looking for people who can fill our weaknesses. We would love to welcome you especially if you have a general knowledge of sport and/or music.

We meet from 2pm until 4pm every third Monday in the month at the Creek’s End, Kingsbridge.
