We meet on the third Wednesday morning (10am to 12pm) of most months of the year, with a break during August and December. Some of the sessions will be local guided walks, or visits, and we will also spend some time researching local history, working towards members becoming more active contributors – with support of course!
Our current venue is Malborough Village Hall which has its own parking.
Emails are sent to all members of the group in advance of each meeting, with details of venue, time and topic. If in any doubt, please contact the group for information.
In line with the principles of U3A, we encourage working together in small groups to carry out research and then report on our findings – and we encourage new members to join us and develop their own interests. The local museums are rich sources of material.
A new addition to the website is a video presentation on the life and work of George Montagu, originally made to the group a couple of years ago. George Montagu (1753-1815) was an Army Officer in the American War of Independence and later became an eminent Natural Historian, famous for his study of birds and crustaceans from his home in Kingsbridge, Devon.
