Kingsbridge u3a Mah-Jong Group

It is thought that Mah-Jong originated in China in the 1870’s, and wasn’t introduced to the Western world until around the 1920’s.

If you enjoy playing the card game of rummy, you will most likely enjoy Mah-Jong! The principles are along the same lines, but Mah-Jong is played using tiles with pretty and colourful designs originating in the Far East. It is usually played with tables of 4, although can be played with just 3. We play by British rules and it is an easy game to learn. None of us are experts!

We usually meet on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month from 10.30-12.30 at West Charleton Village Hall. However, if the hall has already been pre-booked, some months there might only be one session.

Do come along and try us out and bring your Mah-Jong sets with you if you have them.
